The help and support of volunteers at the Dove Centre is invaluable and the running of services would not function as well as they do without their input.
Volunteering at the Dove Centre is about working as part of a team to help and support people living with cancer and life limiting illness and we value the skills, enthusiasm, and commitment that volunteers offer. We have a variety of volunteering roles from working with individuals directly or behind the scenes, on a rota basis or with greater flexibility. We always need a bank of reliable volunteers who can help when they can with providing refreshments at group meetings, meet and greet within the Dove Centre, fundraising events as well as community work with Cairdeas Befriending. You could also volunteer from your own home by being involved in knitting projects or cake bakes.
Volunteers will always be supported by the Dove Centre Co-ordinator and will be provided with an introduction to the Dove Centre and training in certain tasks.
Contact the volunteer Co-ordinator at the Dove Centre, Peter Darling, to enquire about this role; phone 01631 561315 or 07483 116185
